The brief
Total E&P needed a corporate event delivered at Cromarty Firth, with the existing space transformed into an event environment capable of supporting catering, production, entertainment and a full guest programme. The brief covered venue transformation, catering, production, entertainment, staffing and the coordination of multiple suppliers around a single schedule.
The timeline challenge
The event was delivered from brief to execution within a three-week timeframe. That is a short runway for a project involving a full venue transformation, and it changed how the project had to be managed: decisions needed to be made quickly, suppliers needed to be confirmed early, and the schedule had very little slack built in.
Transforming a warehouse
The venue itself was an existing warehouse space rather than a purpose-built event venue, which meant the event environment — staging, catering infrastructure, lighting and layout — had to be built from the ground up within the available space, rather than adapted from an existing event setup.
What made it work
With a three-week timeframe and a venue transformation on the same project, the priority was keeping every workstream — venue, catering, production, entertainment and staffing — aligned to one schedule rather than managed in isolation. That coordination, more than any single supplier, is what allowed the event to be delivered on time.
